NY Times Picks up story Kingston Goodfellas Broke in 2014!!! Ulster County Democratic Committee In Hot Water-- Cardinale and Hayes Clement on Hot Seat, Must Stand Down and Resign in Short Order

Frank Cardinale circumvents election law with his pal Hayes Clement to try and secure a win for Senator Tkazck

First read this article by the NY Times just click this sentence.

Than click this sentence from 2014 a post our blog did on this almost two years ago!

Excerpts from NY TIMES:

The inquiry into the 2014 donations is based on a state ban on contributions to a party committee if they are given or solicited for a particular candidate, with an intent to evade individual contribution limits. Party committees can receive contributions of up to $102,300, far more than the $11,000 general-election maximum from individuals directly to for State Senate candidates. And the committees are not restricted in how much they can transfer to candidates.

In all, the Democratic committees in Putnam, Ulster and Monroe Counties raised at least $1.2 million in large donations from union political action committees, private companies and individual donors, state records show, and sent money to four Senate candidates in close races.

Cecilia Tkaczyk, who received money in October 2014 from the Ulster County committee during her unsuccessful re-election campaign, said the state party’s efforts, which included fliers attacking her opponent, ended up working against her. She declined to comment on whether she had gotten a subpoena from state prosecutors, which people familiar with the investigation said had gone to some candidates in tight races that year.

NY DAILY NEWS excerpt:

The News previously reported the Ulster County Democratic Committee on Oct. 14, 2014, took in $364,000 from four labor unions and a Manhattan-based corporation. Days later, the committee turned around and sent the money to the campaign of Tkaczyk.

“Unions like the powerful Service Employees International Union Local 1199, SEIU 32BJ, the state Nurse’s Association, and the Communications Workers of America were among those who gave big amounts to the county committees though they never had before,” The News reported.

The News reports that an email shows that Tkaczyk’s campaign manager Matthew Lerch contacted Hayes Clement, the treasurer of the Ulster County Democratic Committee, to find out if a $60,000 check from the state Nurse’s Association had cleared. “Below is our banking info, we need the 60 transferred over ASAP please,” Lerch wrote in the email, according to The News.

Tkaczyk received a total of $330,000 from the Ulster County committee, The News said.

It's very clear that the Ulster County Democratic committee broke the law in a big way, it's a felony to give money to a party committee with the purpose of circumventing individual campaign contribution limits. That's exactly what happened! The committee under Dem Chairman Frank Cardinale accepted 330k to his committee and every penny of it was transferred to Senator Tkaczyk's campaign days later.

Hayes Clement was the treasure, he did what Cardinale told him to do, he owed Frank, Frank as City Chairman put his neck on the line for him in his unsuccessful run for Mayor. Cardinale asked Hayes to return the favor and he did. I feel bad for Hayes because a scum like Cardinale will have Hayes Clement take the fall, he's the treasure, he wrote the check!  It's so funny now to watch becasue when Hayes Clement ran for Mayor he ran saying he was this buisness leader with zero ties to the good ol' boy network and it was a lie all along. Shayne Gallo knew it and so did his supporters. Cardinale and Clement need to resign immediatly from their committee seats and executive postions. No one has given the Democrtatic Party in Ulster County a black eye the way these two have. People like John Parete and Shayne Gallo are vindicated more every day. Gallo may be a crazy psychopath but he's our crazy psychopath and more importantly say what you will about him, he's honest and above any of this shit here.

I don't get why Cardinale and Clement thought it was cool, they reported it as if they did nothing wrong. It would have been smarter if they gave the money in cash in a Macy's bag. If you're gunna break the law why leave a clear trail back to you. That's Cardinale's fault for firing Andrew Zweeben as the party's attorney. Not only would of Zweben advised against reporting this, he would have delivered the bag of cash to Senator Tkaczyk and there would be no proof.

  1. Lol yes, I can see Zweben meeting CC in a back ally somewhere and handing her $300,00 in two big shopping bags that he himself couldn't carry, he had them loaded for him in his Audi and made CC carry them out. That ragucchi or whoever their new lawyer is just to much of a nieve child, compared to Zweben

  2. Yes Zweben is a seasoned evil being, unethical and ruthless. But has a small cock of course like any other guy who has a Napolian complex the way he does.

    1. Nothing like having a ruthless attorney if he is the one representing or defending you... :) Zweben gets a bad rap on blogs.

    2. What the hell are you taling about? He defends organizations, not individuals. That's great if you are a well-heeled organization. Individuals already are at disadvantage against the big bad organizations, and Zweben considers himself a "Democrat". He gets a bad rap? I have seen his behavior in action--he is just plain nuts in addition to all the rest, which includes being a bully and a scam artist. Chances are you don't know what the hell you are talking about.

  3. We can all sit back and watch this shit show unfold. Who else is on the Executive Committee of the County Committee?

  4. This will blossom as it should. RED HORSE STRATEGIES
55 WASHINGTON ST. SUITE 624 BROOKLYN, NY 11201, The same group Mike Hein uses, is mentioned as a subpoenaed business. As I recall that campaign it was unique in it's single mindedness to support Cecilia Tkaczyk and no one else. Many people were looked over because Hein directed Cardinale and the county party to put everything behind her. A huge mistake as it turns out.

  5. Cardinale brings this low intelligence shit with him. Some slick talking lawyer from NYC was able to hoodwink him into believing this was OK and that is the exact reason why he should go away.

  6. well, well ,well....I see that nothing has changed in Ulster County since it was declared one of the most corrupt counties in NYS back in the 1890's.... NYC Newspaper did an expose on the buying and selling of votes and some of the backroom deals that goes on in upstate..Ulster County. Wow! Pull up a chair..this is going to be interesting.

  7. That is Zephyr Teachout in that picture, not Crooked Cece Tzycak.

  11. Like I said, Cardinale's fault for dumping Zweben as county attorney after he became County chairman. Frank was bitter at Zweb for supporting Gallo and got rid of him. zweb would hVe delivered the $ in cash to whoever needed it and this wouldn't be a story, let alone a criminal investigation.

  12. So when is Cardinale resigning along with Hein and Clement?

    ReplyDelete
  13. 6:33, you're joking right? Hein, Cardinale, and the rest of the good ol' boys network won't be resigning anytime soon. They think they can do no wrong and are infallible. Their only collective fault is to be conscious of none.

Big egos are big shields for lots of empty space.

    1. Mike Hein gave CSEA union president Mike Cimorelli a $7,000.00 a year raise into a position he is unqualified to do and not made to do. Just today At 2pm he was spotted with former CSEA president Pat Strohl walking the rail trail on lower Broadway in Kingston. He comes and goes as he pleases and his coworkers are made to pick up the slack. Maybe he helped deliver some of the money in question.

    2. This is bs. He gets lunch from 12:00 to 1:00. Why is he taking a walk on the taxpayers dime? Get the gps report from his county vehicle and see were is was at 2:00pm. I have to work my tail off because he gets so much special treatment it's rediculous.
This is why Ulster County is so corrupt.

      Delete
    3. There's favoritism in every job. But when someone like Cimorelli blatantly flaunts it like he does it bring morale down. Less work gets done and it's a drain on the taxpayer. Really, walking the rail trail on county time.

      Delete
  14. Even department heads cannot control Mike Cimorelli. Word is Hein has told his department heads to let him do whatever he wants. He doesn't have to do his job. He can come and go as he pleases.
Whatever he is doing for Mike Hein it must be important.
Members are getting pissed though. Easy target next year when CSEA has its elections.

    1. Oh please, yes it's a photo from Kingston Times I found on a google search. Don't take yourself so seriously ok? It falls in public domain catigory. Dan is your liberal heart hurt that the Dem committee is under fire. It's one thing use a picture without permission it's another to multiple times write stories where facts are wrong in a major way and than think a small correction the following week on page 15 is acceptable. Or have one of your writers fuck the Mayor and have influence on stores and sit in on editorial endorsements. Please don't talk to me about journalistic ethics. We like the times, we prefer Jesse Smith or Hugh Reynolds but have nothing against you either Me. Barton but Philis can speak for herself. Just keep reading this blog for your story ideas. Have a nice day.

    2. The fact that Dan Barton trolls blogs rather than doing some investigating reporting is pathetic. There is so much corruption going on that they could break but it means actually working.

Good job Goodfellas for breaking this story! Something Dan Barton could never do.

      Delete
    3. Yeah Dan. Do a story about Mike Hein giving CSEA President Mike Cimorelli a $7,000.00 raise and then put him in a no work position. Other employees are pissed at having to pick up the slack.

Or maybe a story how Cimorelli is stealing dues money from is members by putting in bogus travel vouchers.

    4. It's copyrighted material, a copyright which I will defend. The county Democrats can defend themselves.

I make no money writing this blog, you want a photos credit you got it: KINGSTON TIMES think of many stories and photos you have gotten over the years from the authors of this website and you are busting our balls over a lousy picture that is shot in terrible light to boot. I wouldn't take credit that my news organization shot that photo.

    6. You are asking Dan Barton not to take himself seriously. A hahahaaaahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaa!!

  16. Cimorelli's job tittle is senior technology specialist making about $37.00 an hour. The man cannot even set a computer station up. All he does is drive around town and deliver parts for someone else to install. He is a total waste of taxpayer money. $37.00 an hour to walk the rail trail is rediculous. Why is Hein having him do that. Spying on the CCMR I bet.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Rally the troops, get your girlfriend and your freaky other friends together like Cimmorelli did, and run against them!! Maybe they get together with Hein and his girlfriend and get their freak on all together, who knows? It would explain a lot though.

      Delete
    2. Shouldn't be a problem beating Cimorelli and his friends. Just a few months ago they ran for region and state offices. Out if the entire county workforce they could only get 94 votes. That includes all units not just UC. Well over 1500 elegably voters.
But the damage to county employees is being done now. CSEA need to remove this president before more damage is done. They are in contract negotiations now with Hein. It will cost Hein more than 2% a year to keep this stooge and his friends in place.

  17. Think you mean CMRR 2:08. And I am appalled that my tax dollars are being spent like that. This should be investigated by the AG. Using a county employee in this way is a crime. I am sure there are computer problems he can be fixing instead of paying him $37.00 and hour to spy on the CMRR.

    1. He can't fix any computer! He doesn't know how to.

  20. Kingston Citi bus merges with UCAT under county control. Kingston will undoubtedly lose bus routes. Kingston loses

City of Kingston must maintain county built rail trail from Washington ave to wherever they decides it ends within city limits. Mowing, snow removal, trash removal etc. with no additional funding. Keep nesting loses.

County moves it's impound lot to city of Kingston transfer station. Not sure what happens to transfer station. Kingston loses.

Think the city is taking it up the ass with all the unfounded mandates.

Hope the council has more brains than the mayor.

  22. That ball less Mayor did a good job and is gunna save Kingston over a million a year. Tell the truth!

  23. How is he saving the City over a $1M a year. Do you know what your reading? Have you seen the agreement?

  24. Some of that dirty money found its way to the election of steve noble for mayor as Tkaczyk in two separate checks sent money to noble's home address totaling $1,500. What is baffling though is there is no trail of the Tkaczyk sponsored Facebook ads that kept circulating over and over during the campaign. Did noble overlook this on his disclosure forms and hope that no one picked up on it?

  25. If you think there is corruption in NYC the City of Kingston & County should be investigated.

  26. So is Cardinale resigning

  27. He fathered a kid, so he isn't "ball-less". At least he is no bag of wind like his uncle. We're still trying to pull his uncle down from the ceiling laughing with Ed Wynn and Dick Van Dyke and Julie Andrews in "Mary Poppins." I mean at Keegan's, of course.
