Breaking: Second Upset In Surrogate Court Race Dems Nominate Graff Over MCGinty
Last week Peter Matera rocked the GOP establishment beating out Eaopus GOP Chairman Kyle Barnett for the Surrogate Court nomination and this week the Dems had an upset of their own that Kingston Goodfellas predicted that very night. Sharon Graff a Kingston lawyer who up until recently was a registered Republican defeated Sara McGinty a former town Justice Rosendale, who also chaired the Rosendale Dem commitee at one point and is the wife of family court Judge Anthony McGinty. McGinty was def the favorite in this race and I am sure will primary for the seat this fall. Republican Peter Matera may be luckier, rumor has it Barnett will not primary Matera for the Republican nomination. McGinty still has enough support and her " life long Democrat" card to play in a primary.

The difference between the UNofficial Democratic and Republican County Convention nomination procedure is that the Democrats operate on a weighted vote system in correlation with that committeeperson's election district democratic vote in the last gubernatorial election while the Republican committee vote is based upon one person, one vote principle. So in essence; Democratic Committeepeople from Kingston,Woodstock, and New Paltz carry far more weighted votes then those from the remaining outlaying areas of the county.

I also heard Cardinals rigged the state delegate voting by putting his own people in and tried to block other nominations. He is being led by Hein and is allowing Hein to control everything. If these things are true, he should resign.

ReplyDeleteJohn made the deal to prevent a Hein follower from taking over the Legislature. Had he not worked something out, Hein would have had even more influence over the Legislature. Let's not forget what the Democrats did to the Parete's. They ran Democrats against Richard and Robert. Never as Chairman were the ethics of the committee called into question. Under Cardinale, his ethics are called into question on a regular basis.

I see the owner of ecca terra made a post in regard to a movie in uptown, but her employees continue to use public parking spaces while they are working. She complains about parking and her employees park in the public spaces.
