Gallo: The Lord Let Kingston Down By Not Reelecting me!

Actual quote from last night during his concession speech

  1. You won , let it go. This comment was in reference about one family running both branches of Government. I wouldn't gloat for to long, it's not over yet! Polacco is coming out punching and a lot of Democrats will support him because of the likes of Landi, Hoffay, Will, Dunn, Johnston, and last but not least Donaldson, . Mayor Polacco!!!

    1. Yeah yeah yeah. You ran the se crap for the last two weeks. Mayor Noble. No problem.
Each one of those names you mentioned has a huge following from both parties.
Now shut your pie hole and crawl back under that rock.

      Delete
    2. Why are there Polacco for Mayor signs out right now?? He was not in any primary. He hasn't been elected yet and he already thinks that rules don't apply to him. Just what Kingston needs another mayor who thinks he is larger than life!

      Delete
    3. A sign that he's not going to follow the rules. And where they are place. A sign. that he's making bad choices already specially the ones on TenBrook Avenue, remember promissory note scam?http://www.ag.ny.gov/press-release/spitzer-charges-pair-38-million-promissory-note-fraud and Albany ave..... and Tim the stripper on Foxhall ave and Flatbush ave the auto body repair shop where's OSHA!

    4. Those names mean nothing to Joe sixpack in Kingston. I guarantee the average NOP voter doesn't give a shit about Hoffay or Donaldson's "shadow government," they just want to tell Noble and Polacco about the street lights and potholes that need to be fixed, and how taxes are too high.

    5. Don't be a pinhead at he sign law is a city law that says you can't have a sign out for more than thirty days says nothing about political signs or elections. Second, there was an open Green primary and third Polacco had no idea until the 20 something of August if he was going to be involved in a Indy and conservative primary due to Gallo refusing to accept the fact he lost those lines and fighting it in the courts.

  2. I loved Gallo's comment about nepotism. From a guy who rode his father's and brother's coatails into employment and later office in the city.

  3. What a narcissist, that Gallo. He should be removed from office immediately on mental-health grounds.

    ReplyDelete
  4. True to the end.
Always blaming someone else for his own short coming. Now it's God's fault? Really.

    ReplyDelete
  5. There was a primary for the Green party, now all signs come down until Oct.5th

  6. Sad. I've kept my mouth shut about Steve but have seen things popup in reference. It's time his HS past and true self comes "out." It's not my story but a story that needs to be told. Who do I reach out to? I maybe able to convince the person to step forward.

    1. Depends on how you want to release the info....

  9. So what the suggestion is he is or was gay? Who cares. There is no stigma attached to that. Is he a good, decent, intelligent person who will try his best for the city. That's all that should matter

    ReplyDelete

    1. It could be more than Judy being gay!, it involves someone under age, different story?

      Delete
    2. Stop that unless you have proof not even right to suggest.

  10. If you have info like that, you go to the police. You don't keep your mouth shut. You don't look for a press outlet. That you haven't is reprehensible.

  11. All the crap they threw at Gallo! Nobles deserve to be exposed. Both of them.

    ReplyDelete
  12. How about Provenzano on the Independence line?

    ReplyDelete
  13. When Shayne said God help Kingston! he is so right. Joe Sangi sent ballons and congratulations to Steve Noble front yard. I guess Joe will get boarding house for drug and alcohol homeless on W. Chestnut st.. now that Steve won the primary. When you get to see all that was promised you will be saying Shayne is right "God help Kingston, don't abandon us at our hour of need".

    1. Gallo and his followers ran a piss poor campaign. They tried the old smoke and mirrors games.

God works in mysterious ways and if it's his will that the nobles run this city. Who am I or anyone else for that matter to question or His will.
Check back in four years when Steve Noble runs unopposed

  14. Kingston is now going to be run by one of two incompetent morons. Whether Noble or Polacco, Kingston is going down the toilet. Thank the animals in charge of the Democratic committee for putting their own power ahead of the good of the city. Time to sell our homes and move cause Kingston's going to be the new Detroit.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. If the voters really believe that Gallo and his followers can run a write in campaign.
But they don't. The Nobles ran an excellent campaign and squashed the Gallocrats.
They will run another excellent campaign and be elected to run this City for the next four years.
So stop the sour grapes and move away if you don't like it.

      Delete
    2. Shayne and his followers did not run a piss poor campaign. They ran no campaign because Shayne would not let anyone do anything and it is too frustrating to try to discuss doing something other than his way.

As to moving forward, aside from the personal issues that are obvious, the unnecessary and distasteful hatred that goes both ways, and the elementary school type finger pointing and whining, the policy and the pieces are in place for the forward movement to continue. Who runs the democratic committee, who sits in the Mayors chair, who votes on the common council matters almost nothing to the majority of the residents. They care so little about politicians that they can't get themselves out to vote.

The progress in Kingston has not been due to any one administration or individual. The city has all the qualities and characteristics to progress and become an attractive vibrant city. Its not about who the next Mayor is, its about who the people are who are going to continue to step up and be proactive and creative and drive us in the right direction. Those people, and many of them supported Shayne, are for the most part looking forward to moving on and are not talking about filing charges against Steve or saying that God letting the City down.

    3. Right but this man is crazy. No telling what he will do. Fire anyone who looks cross eyed at him.
Let's see what games he plays with the 2016 budget.

    4. It doesn't matter what the voters believe. Reality is reality. Steve Noble is a bumbling moron and Ron Polacco is an intellectually challenged boob. Six of one, half a dozen of the other.

Either way, the city is screwed beyond repair.

      Delete
    5. The city has been run by idiots since TR died. We'll be fine.

  15. Noble, Noble team played dirty politics , his friends Jim Sottile, Jamie Sottile, Charlie Landi, Tom Hoffay, was out for one thing and that was to destroy Gallo, had nothing to do with job performance, Noble had no platform, he had his supporters do the dirty work. Polacco is just plain stupid, Shayne is right, God help us all.

  16. Vote for Jeannette Provenzano on the Independence line, I am! She will bring transparency and common sense to City a Government, both Steve and Ron will need her leadership on the council.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Let's be honest here, a vote for Jeanette is a vote for the good old boys like Al Spada, Mike Hein, Steve Aaron, and Shayne Gallo. She was good for a minute there, then she got all "what's in it for me, my friends and my family" like the rest of them. She holds grudges against anyone who does not do her personal favors or she feels has slighted her in any way, perceived or in reality. Ask the folks out at the college. She always votes against them. She continues to hold a grudge to this day from many years ago when they would not hire her daughter. Nice lady but she needs to play more golf.

  17. Jeanette Provenzano "will bring transparency" to city government. LOL!!! Which one of her publicly employed and taxpayer-pensioned children are you? 'Cuz getting friends and family on the teet is ALL her vacuous career in public office has ever amounted to, Period. Stop lionizing this self-serving hack just because her concession remarks were "classy" (actually, just normal, sane and standard) versus Gallo's.

  18. Sounds like the Noble supporters just can't let go of their vile , slash and burn frame of mind. So funny when the Nobles have nephew, uncle, wife and mother Noble all getting pay checks from City taxpayers. What a bunch of assholes.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Pollaco all the way, taxpayers can't afford the Nobles any longer. Salaries for Uncle, Nephew, wife with health care and retirement plus mamma Noble retired from County job with Health benefits, retirement. Retire them all come November.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Not going to happen 8:20. Momma Noble pays for there benefits. Wife provides outstanding service to this community and Steve will be running the show.
Finally transparency that we all can see through. Not just the select few insiders on gallo's regime.
The "legacy" is done. Just ride off into the sunset.

      Delete
  20. I am more concerned who Steve Noble "owes" for his campaign success. Will we see those familiar faces among the employed at city hall? What was promised to them? Yeah, transparency. but under what terms?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. See, that is the mentality that is pervasive in Kingston Government today that Steve will NOT bring to the table. His supporters understand the concept of public service. Many of his supporters themselves serve on non-paying boards and committees to try and improve Kingston and for no other reason. If Steve chooses to replace some of the folks in City Hall who actively campaigned against him, and even smeared his name, who can blame him. I would get rid of them too. He should put people in place who understand and agree with his plans. The common council will do it's job as a check to the Mayors office. He will be a breath of fresh air to Kingston, just you wait and see.

      Delete
  21. Totally agree 8:33. There is some dead wood at city hall that should be replaced. As well as Gallo cronies who will work against Steve. I believe Gallo brought in his own people after he won in 2012.

DiFalco and Swanzy are easy targets and are gone Jan 1, 2016. Williams, Ashdown, Woltman have some protection. But if they are made to do there job they will become very easy targets. They all have become fat and lazy these last four years. Coming and going as they please. Ashdown is forever driving the city vehicle with his cell phone plastered against his ear.

    1. Gallo brought in the attorneys and Ms.Fuentes to run community development. Also Carly williams but that position was vacant as previous clerk retired. oops, forgot Madsen who was fired due to issues with a construction project. So he did get rid of people who couldn't do their jobs. Big difference of keeping somebody on payroll who is incompetent.

  22. First move will be Tom Hoffay being named city clerk. Noble is no different than any other political hack. Revisit this remark in one year and tell me I was wrong.

  23. Mike Hein went down in flames last night at CSEA region 3. Cimorelli did piss poor job.
Joyce Howard and John Staino were his only supporters.
Both are running next year for region office. Important to let all county employees know that Cimorelli Warnock Joyce Howard and staino cannot get elected next year or Hein will have card blanch in ulster county CSEA.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Jack, those so-called officers need to be tossed out on their butts! They are incompetent and are not protecting the rank and file. They are protecting themselves and Mike Hein. The Sherrifs get 2 % for 7 years, we get .5 and 1% over 4 years. Plus he has cut nearly 1/3rd of the CSEA jobs since he took office and 0 Sheriffs jobs. Hein treats the CSEA like shit and the officers sit by and watch. What a disgrace.

    1. Mike Cimorelli and Glen Warnock both received promotions from Mike Hein. If they are successful they will all but eliminate county jobs.
Hoping goodfellows runs another story about them.

      Delete
    2. That is nothing short of bribery. If it is factual, and they were not deserving of those promotions, the DA, NYS Attorney General or JCOPE should be made aware. Do you have proof?

      Delete
  25. It's easy to see. Hard to prove. Hein owns the department heads and no one will go up against him. The important issue is not allowing Cimorelli Warnock Staino and Joyce Howard to take over the union.
Staino and Howard voted to endorse Mike Hein last night. They were soundly defeated. But if they are successful next year in the union election hold on to your ass. Hein will then Be in complete control.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Are you serious? Hein is in complete control already! How can a union that has been decimated by Hein fight to get regional support for the very union he gutted? If Cimorelli and the rest of them are not taking orders directly from Hein, I will eat my hat.
