This is gonna be La Cosa Nostra till I die, Be it an hour from now, or be it tonight, or a hundred years from now, when I'm in jail. It's gonna be La Cosa Nostra
-John Gotti, Boss
Dude, you need to give it a rest!!! You can always quit if you hate your boss and job. City would have no trouble filling your position as many people would be relieved to have a JOB. (with Excellent benefits) Be grateful this holiday season for being employed or welcome to my world...
I work for Schupp. Biggest asshole ever. But because I have a union that keeps him in check I'll stay I have excellent benefits, 14 paid holidays, 12 sick days 3 personal days and 5 weeks vacation free lifetime health insurance when I retire and a defined pension plan. I am not walking away from that. Nor am I bragging about what I have. I feel everyone should fight to get what I have. Not fight to take it away
sorry but the private sector employers ,in most cases, cannot afford what you have for their employees. nobody going to go fight for us. Realistically, the taxpayers cannot afford the benefits you get especially when most do not even come close to your benefits but they pay for yours at their expense thru their taxes. SO put that smile on when you go to work!
This should be interesting. I am sure Jeanette Provenzano, Dave Donaldson, Sue Zimet, and Hector Rodriguez will think they should run too. None of them have a chance in Hell, not a chance.
Maybe popular in the area but the 19th congressional district is much more than "the area". A lot of counties don't know who he is. and he has to appeal to the masses. and beat strong Republican candidates.
When John F. Kennedy, age 29, and a World War II hero, first ran for Congress from Massachusetts, in June 1946, in the Democratic Primary--he had neither name recognition nor any political experience at that. He was running against eight other opponents for the nomination and wasn't even a resident of the Massachusetts 11th Congressional district. Several of his opponents had political experience as elected officials including the Mayor of Cambridge and a 36 year female attorney who served in the Massachusetts State assembly prior to enlisting in the U.S. Army WAC during World War II. Jack Kennedy went on to win the Democratic nomination in June 1946 capturing 42% of the vote, and the general election in November of that year. The rest is history as 16 years later he would be elected President of the United States. So anything is possible in politics.
Whoa there. JFK was as you say a war hero. He was also an ivy league educated member of one of the wealthiest and most politically connected families in America. By 1946 his father had been chairman of the SEC and ambassador to England. He was no Cinderella story. No self made man. To paraphrase Ann Richards he was born on 3rd base and your pretending he hit a home run. Sure anything is possible if you're born with every conceivable advantage
Most political observers, at that time, believed Kennedy won the Democratic congressional primary due to the general public's post World War II fascination with war heroes and the fact that his father, Joseph, literally spent millions of dollars into his son's campaign--outspending his primary opponents many time over.Yes, I agree with your assessment, 7:29 AM. JFK did have every conceivable advantage.
BWAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA..........

ReplyDeleteI think Elliot would be a good candidate. He has served us well and appears to be popular in the area.

ReplyDeleteAuerbach.....BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
ReplyDeleteWord is that Assemblyman Frank Skartados is considering a run.
ReplyDeleteTHAT is one dude I do not trust or like. People like Auerbach and with a big Dem presidential year turnout, I think he's gotta pretty good chance.
DeleteAuerbach for Congr.......... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
ReplyDeleteMaybe, if Auerbach says no the Dems can get Shayne Gallo........HAHAHAHAHAHA
ReplyDeleteSo someone has figured out that Elliott is the highest ranking democrat in the county, that is excluding our closet republican county exec.
ReplyDeleteGallo would be perfect yea
ReplyDeleteAt least Gallo has better name recognition
DeleteYeah we all have seen and heard him in action.
DeleteNo money no chance.
